Event Information

Description:

The award-winning YouTube series, The Cool Parts Shows, offers special episodes that can only be seen within IMTS Spark.

The January 12 live episode highlights a 3D printed high-performance car part: a brake rotor made from metal matrix composite (MMC). Joining our hosts will be Michael Kawecki of Ceramic Disc Technologies, the creator of this rotor, and Adam Polizzi, materials and metallurgical engineer of Elementum3D, the maker of the aluminum-ceramic material used in this component.

The Cool Parts Show is a video series from Additive Manufacturing magazine. Hosted by editor-in-chief Peter Zelinski and senior editor Stephanie Hendrixson, each episode focuses on a cool 3D printed part to explore how it was made and what it reveals about the possibilities of additive manufacturing.
