Description:

The well-known neuroscientist, Antonio Damasio stated, “We are not thinking machines. We are feeling machines that think.”

Before the pandemic think about how we separated our professional and personal lives. We would get up in the morning, take care of personal matters at home, then travel to work. We then switched into our professional mode, until we went home again and switched back. We physically separated the two, which also allowed us to mentally separate them.

Sure there was some overlap, but not a lot.

Now our personal and professional worlds have literally collided and are very much overlapping. Our kids are attending school virtually, causing many parents to juggle being “at work” versus being “at home.” Many of us may be permanently working from home, a very solo endeavor, as compared the old corporate office setting with people bustling around us all day.

We simply can’t help these facts of new life. And that means your sales and marketing communications should also adjust. Empathy now plays a very important role.

Join IMTS resident Marketing Gunslinger, Steve Miller, as he shares how you can gain a decided advantage over your competition by infusing your regular marketing messaging with completely new types of connections – personal and empathetic. Steve will share examples of businesses using empathy in ways you will be surprised at, yet are yielding fantastic results.
