Murley Sam
Sam Murley is GM, Industrial Artificial Intelligence (AI) at Microsoft. In this role, Sam leverages deep industry experience, startup incubation, new solution go-to-market, and digital transformation know-how to help companies improve their competitiveness and profitability through the Industrial AI, edge to cloud, while helping curate and craft roadmaps for scale. His responsibilities include working directly with customers from executive leadership to frontline workers, to scale tailored multi-year transformation programs and large digital transformation change efforts based on their unique operational excellence goals and needs, while leading a worldwide team who consult the world’s most innovative organizations.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Sam led PTC's Digital Transformation customer global growth business, creating double digit customer outcomes across engineering, manufacturing, service and supply chain, while ensuring their digital transformation investments create multiples of return. Industrial customer outcomes included direct revenue and/or cost savings through early proof of value into strategic globally deployments.
Sam's career is rooted in Industry experience where for 20+ years and ahead of joining PTC, he started and grew successful rapid technology startups, and then led numerous operations and digital transformation initiatives for companies in the public sector such as the Department of Defense and in the private sector, such as the General Electric Company. Throughout his career, he has helped companies dramatically enhance their design processes, manufacturing operations, service outcomes and workforce productivity to improve strategic and long-term business outcomes.
Education: Sam earned a BS in Computer Science from Clarke University.
