Tamarozzi, Tommaso

Product Director, Additive Monitoring, Inspection and Simulation at Oqton

Tommaso Tamarozzi is a mechanical engineer by education with several years of experience in the creation and development of innovation teams. In 2014, he obtained a doctorate in mechanical engineering with a focus on computational mechanics from KU Leuven (Belgium). Tommaso's technical skills are predominantly in the field of linear and non-linear computational dynamics applied in multiple fields (i.e., vehicle dynamics, drivetrain, model order reduction, etc.), linear and non-linear optimal state estimation, edge applications related to AI-based monitoring and inspection and more recently metal AM simulation.

He served as senior research engineering manager at Siemens Digital Industry Software until 2022. There Tommaso managed a team of passionate researchers and developers in the field of software development and CAE. Besides the technical input on algorithm development, his duties included applying for funding and grants, engaging with early adopter clients, and managing a multicultural team.

In 2022, Tommaso joined Oqton as Product Director, Additive Monitoring, Inspection and Simulation where he focuses on the strategic development of innovative products in the fields of thermo-mechanical simulation for AM, AI-driven real-time in-situ monitoring and inspection.
