Geiss, Tom

Tom Geiss is the founder and owner of GD&T Basics, which he started in 2015 to eliminate the skills gap that he and many engineers experience after entering the workforce. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University and an ASME Senior-Level GD&T Certification. Tom has a background in mechanical design within the automotive industry and holds three US patents in transmission design, having worked with companies like BMW and ZF Transmissions. He created GD&T Basics to help engineers, machinists, and inspectors understand and apply GD&T in real-world situations, not just in theory.
