Ledvon, Gisbert
Gisbert Ledvon Vice President - Machine Tool I End User I Digital Manufacturing
With over 30 years in the industrial machine business, Ledvon has done it in all-from shaping marketing strategies across key sectors like automation and machine tool driving impressive growth in aerospace and 5-axis machining applications.
He knows a thing or two about precision! His work with HEIDENHAIN’s TNC controls has helped them become a go-to for high-end CNC solutions in North America. He’s also no stranger to supporting the industry beyond Heidenhain-he’s been an active contributor to associations like AMT, NTMA, and TMA for more than two decades.
Some more facts about Mr. Ledvon:
Her originally hails from Germany and got his start in tool and die through an apprenticeship program. He worked for a Swiss manufacturing technology firm first in Germany and then in the U.S. first in Applications Engineering and later in product management, business development and Marketing leadership positions.
He’s called the U.S. home for 30+ years now, where he even further his studies at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management in Evanston, IL back in 2009.
And if you read technical trade magazines like Modern Machine Shop, GIE Media Publications or Moldmaking Technology, you’ve probably seen his work.
He also contributed several chapters about Electrical Discharge Machining Technology (or because engineers love their acronyms, EDM) for the McGraw-Hill Manufacturing Engineering Handbook, published in 2004.
