Mike Molnar is on a mission to ensure that the next generation of breakthrough technologies is not just designed in America but also manufactured here. As the Director of the Office of Advanced Manufacturing at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Mike leads the federal team driving Manufacturing USA—a national network of public-private innovation institutes. This network brings together industry, academia, and government to accelerate commercialization, strengthen domestic supply chains, and equip the American workforce with the skills needed for tomorrow’s factory floors. 

Mike’s strategic vision is grounded in deep practical experience, including 25 years of leading global manufacturing and technology development at Cummins, as well as service as a White House Manufacturing Policy Fellow. He is a licensed Professional Engineer, Certified Manufacturing Engineer, and was elected a Fellow of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and a Fellow and Honorary Member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. He brings this rare blend of industrial grit and national strategy to the IMTS stage.
