Rebecca Wolfinger is a machine shop owner, machinist, educator, and community builder working to make manufacturing more visible, accessible, and connected.

As the owner of Mil Spec Manufacturing LLC, Rebecca brings a hands-on perspective to the industry, combining the realities of running a job shop with her passion for CNC machining, education, and workforce development. Through educational content and the honest documentation of her experiences on the shop floor, she has built a platform that encourages people to learn, ask questions, and see a career in manufacturing as something within their reach.

Rebecca is also passionate about building connections across the industry. From hosting the 2026 Machining Summit and leading community calls to organizing manufacturing meetings, touring trade schools, and partnering with workforce development programs, she works to bridge the gap between education and industry and create more opportunities for the next generation of skilled manufacturing professionals.

Her work is driven by a simple belief: manufacturing changes lives when people are willing to share what they know. Whether she's behind a CNC machine, in a classroom, or speaking on stage, Rebecca is committed to creating an industry where knowledge is shared, questions are encouraged, and people can find their place.

Outside the shop, you'll usually find Rebecca making another boomer machinist her bestie, enthusiastically yapping about manufacturing education, or asking, “Can I run your manual lathe?”
