Rao Praveen

Praveen Rao serves as Managing Director and Market Leader on Google's Strategic Industries team, where he leads global strategy, go-to-market initiatives, and drives growth within the industrial manufacturing sector. Praveen brings deep industry knowledge and subject matter expertise in both discrete and process manufacturing areas, such as Intelligent manufacturing, Industry 4.0, Digital Twins, OEE, Predictive asset optimization (PAO), Quality, Product-as-a service, PLM, MES, ERP, and sustainable manufacturing. He leverages his deep expertise in cloud computing, generative AI, and analytics to deliver transformative value to Google Cloud's manufacturing customers.

Passionate about using technology to positively impact the world, Praveen brings over 20 years of experience in technology and manufacturing to his role. Prior to Google, he held leadership positions at Amazon/AWS and IBM, focusing on manufacturing and supply chain domains. His specialization in cloud solutions, analytics, AI, and IoT drives results-oriented business success.

Praveen holds an MS from Michigan Tech and an MBA from the Chicago Booth School of Business. He resides in Atlanta, GA, with his wife, Pavani, and their daughters, Nidhi and Neha. In his free time, Praveen enjoys tennis, reading, hiking, and meditation.
