Sartor, Sebastian

Sebastian is a PhD student at MIT, where he studies the pace of progress in robotics and its consequences for the economy and society. On the technical side he works on evaluating what robots can currently do, researches neural scaling laws to understand how those capabilities improve, and examines humanoid robot hardware trends. On the economic side he looks at which kinds of work are most exposed to robotic automation, and what that implies for labor markets. His research sits at the intersection of AI, robotics, manufacturing, and economics.
