John Ribic

President at Rimeco Products

After graduating from Ohio State University in 1996, I joined my Dad (John Sr.), Uncle (Val Ribic) and Cousin (Rok Ribic) as the fourth Full-time employee at Rimeco Products in 1997. The company was founded in 1992, but entered CNC Machining in 1997. We worked together over the next two decades to grow our business from 2 CNC machines in 2,000 square feet to 26 CNC machines in 32,000 square feet with 60 employees running 2 shifts today, with another 14,000 square feet for future expansion. We are AS9100 Certified and ITAR Registered and we specialize in the manufacture of components and assemblies for the Aerospace and Defense Industries.

A big reason for our growth has been our Kwik-Clamp technology. Invented by John Sr. and Val in the 1990’s, we have used the Pneumatically controlled Quick-Change Mounting System to create one universal method for mounting all of our Workholding to our Rotary Tables. The technology greatly reduced our Workholding Set-up time, gave us the ability to machine 5 sides of a part in one Fixture and gave us the same efficiency as a Pallet Changing system for a fraction of the cost. With our first 5th Axis Haas UMC 500, we realized we could adapt our system to any 5th Axis Table or Trunnion, and we are now in the process of getting a patent for our 5 Axis OnePro System. With the growth of 5 Axis machining, we believe this product will be a winner and help us to grow our Workholding Solutions Business.

Over the last 23 years I have grown from a Machine Operator to a CNC Mill Programmer and Set-up person, Contract Manager, Q.C. Manager, General Manager and now the President of the company. It is absolutely true that you get to wear a lot of different hats in a small business. As the President my main duties include, Sales Management, Human Resources and overseeing all of our Department Managers. Growing-up I never imagined I would be in the position I am in today.

I am very fortunate to have a beautiful wife and two wonderful children. They have been very supportive and understanding of everything that goes into running a CNC Machining business. I hope to some day teach my children about CNC Machining and everything I know about running a business. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and watching and playing sports.
